Minimally invasive surgical removal of fatty lumps beneath the skin under local anesthesia.
Lipomas are soft, slow-growing fatty growths that develop beneath the skin within the subcutaneous layer. While they are benign and typically harmless, they can cause cosmetic concerns, physical discomfort, or increase in size over time. Our dermatosurgeons perform minimally invasive lipoma excisions, utilizing micro-incisions to extract the fatty lump completely while keeping the incision line as small and hidden as possible.
"Minimal incision, complete extraction. We focus on physical containment, accessing and extracting the entire lipoma sac through a tiny cosmetic micro-incision to minimize postoperative scarring and support rapid recovery."
Micro-incision surgical extraction of subcutaneous fatty lumps followed by cosmetic layered closure.
Complete removal of the growth combined with laboratory testing to verify tissue biology.
Anatomical palpation and boundary mapping of the lipoma
Administration of local anesthetic around and beneath the lesion
Making a micro-incision and carefully dissecting the lipoma capsule
Extracting the fatty mass and placing deep and superficial cosmetic sutures
Sutures are removed after 7 to 10 days. The swelling resolves within 2 weeks, and the fine incision scar fades progressively over 3 to 6 months.
Keep the surgical dressing dry and clean; avoid strenuous lifting for 1 week
Apply prescribed topical healing cream to the incision line after suture removal
Monitor the wound and attend the scheduled follow-up suture removal session
